The stretchy wrap contains 70% viscose from bamboo and 30% cotton, and is also thinner than the Classic model. This makes for a cooler wrap. Baby and carrier will therefore not be quite as warm in this model.
The Evolution stretchy wrap from MOBY is recommended from newborn up to 13.6 kg.
Why should I carry my newborn in a stretchy wrap?
A stretchy wrap is a great carrier for your little one.
- it's easy to tie (once you've done it a few times)
- it's nice and soft
- it can be tied before you put baby in
- you can take baby in and out of the wrap once it is tied
Did you also know that babies who are carried for about 3 hours a day cry on average 43% less.
And in the first month of baby's life, it's especially beneficial if you wear skin-to-skin. In so many ways, it's just SO good for both baby, but also mum and dad.
It actually has positive effects that can be traced right into adulthood!
How to tie your wrap
Tying your wrap can seem a little overwhelming when you first get your hands on the many metres of fabric.
But don't worry - it's not as hard as it looks. Once you learn, it's a gift for both you and your baby!
Before you pick up your baby, you'll need to tie your wrap.
We've made a guide showing how we recommend you do:
Once you have tied the wrap, you need to have baby placed in the wrap. And we have also made a video showing how to do this:
And then you're ready to carry your baby.
If you think it's not quite as easy as it looks - we recommend that you see a sling coach near where you live.
How to wash and maintain your MOBY Stretchy Wrap
Moby stretchy wraps (both Classic and Evolution) are machine washable.
I do not recommend using a tumble dryer, as this will wear down the stretch of the wrap. When the stretch becomes slack, it is harder and harder to carry your baby in the stretchy wrap.
Other than that, there is no special maintenance advice for your MOBY stretchy wrap.
